Message from the Editor-In-Chief
I am delighted to launch of Asian Journal of Veterinary Clinical Medicine. This is a new multidisciplinary , peer-reviewed journal that publishes case report, case series, retrospective/prospective studies, and reviews in small animal medicine/surgery.
Asian Journal of Veterinary Clinical Medicine is a publication as the objectives being more widely and up-to-date information for small animal practitioners, especially in Asia.
I am engaged in small animal clinical, medical care and small veterinary clinical practice in Japan.
Also many people in Asian countries have been working and have helping more to be better teachers.
However, the small animal health in Asia cannot be disseminated yet.
Many cases and treatments for small dogs and seasonal diseases are not availabele in the western Europe.
The Specialists Conference with specialists is ready to review your report.
Posts the material as reports (case report, case series, retrospective/prospective studies and review) that contribute encounters.
We hope Asian Clinical Veterinary Medicine will be the important platform for small animal practitioners to share fiding and discussing all aspects of small animal medicine/surgery in the contributions that will be benefit for international community.
The submission for future issues of the journal are welcome. submissions for future issues of the journal.
Let's make instructive information for practitioners together.

Dr. Yu Ueda

Dr. Ueda received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011.
After a one-year rotating internship at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, he completed a residency training in emergency and critical care at University of California - Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and became board certified in 2015. Dr. Ueda is currently working as a staff emergency veterinarian while he is enrolled in a PhD program at University of California-Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Keita Iyori received his veterinary degree from Azabu University in 2008. He gained a PhD from the United Graduate School of Veterinary
Sciences, Gifu University in 2011. He then studied at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, which followed by a first residency program of Asian College of Veterinary Dermatology (AiCDV). In 2015, he became a diplomate of AiCDV. He is now a chief Technical Officer, VDT Co.,
Ltd., which provides dermatological clinic and laboratory services for animals in Japan.



Dr. Meg Sleeper

Meg Sleeper VMD graduated from the University of Pennsylvania veterinary school cum laude in 1993. She returned to the University of Pennsylvania for a residency in cardiology and worked there until joining the University of Florida veterinary school in 2015 as clinical professor of cardiology.
She has published numerous papers including over 75 peer reviewed original papers, over 50 review papers or case reports, and 4 books.
Primary research interests include inherited heart diseases, in particular inherited cardiomyopathies, comparative cardiology and therapeutic gene transfer.



Dr. Hiroki Sano

After 1 year small animal rotating internship, Hiroki completed Veterinary Anesthesia residency in Cornell University, USA and worked as a lecturer in University of Pennsylvania, USA. He is currently a senior lecturer in Veterinary Anaesthesiology in Massey University, New Zealand.

Dr. Yong-Wei Hung gained his BVM degree from Department of Veterinary Medicine, College of Agriculture, National Taiwan University in 1990.
After a short practice in a private practice, he attended a one-year Intensive Post-graduate Training Program in the Animal Medical Center, New York in 1991.
Knowing the importance of continuing education, he chartered Taiwan Academy of Veterinary Internal Medicine, now with more than 500 active members.
Dr. Hung is also a well-known speaker in China, Malaysia, and other countries in Asia.

Dr. Chen received his veterinary degree from National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) in Taiwan.
He obtained his Master degree in Veterinary Diagnostic maging in 2004 land PhD in 2009 in The University of Melbourne.
He also passed the Membership examination (Veterinary Radiology) of the Australian & New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientist in 2010.
He is currently an associate professor and the chief of diagnostic imaging section, College of Veterinary Medicine, NCHU, in Taiwan.
He has published several papers in the journal of Veterinary Radiology & Ultrasound and Journal of American Veterinary Medical Association.



Dr. Takahiro Ushigusa

Dr. Takahiro Ushigusa

Dr. Takahiro Ushigusa received his veterinary degree from Miyazaki University in 1999. He gained a PhD from Osaka Prefecture University Graduate School of Veterinary Cell Pathology.
He is currently a animal hospital president and CEO, and also a technical advisor at some companies.



Dr. Takafumi Osumi

Dr. Takafumi Osumi

Dr. Takafumi Osumi graduated from Nihon University in 2008 and then trained as an internship at the Veterinary Medical Center of the University of Tokyo. After working as a general practitioner for the next five years, he started the residency program of the Asian College of Veterinary Dermatology (AiCDV) in 2014 and completed it in 2017. From 2017, he became a resident instructor, and at the same time, entered the doctoral course at the graduate school of Gifu University. In 2020, he opened his private otology and dermatology service.
